I am looking at an old plow to buy and restore. Can someone tell me how to measure it to see if it is a 12", 14" or 16"? Thanks!

Curious;Measuring from beam to beam is ok on some plows, but the JD 44's that I sell all have a slight jog in the legs, you can switch legs and get a dif.spacing if needed. I would measure perpendicular to the direction of travel point to point Lary

Measure from the leading edge of the plow lay, at a right angle to it ,to the direction of travel, (if it throws the dirt to the right),to as far right as the plow lay cuts.
