IH No. 6 Hammer Mill

Anybody know the colors for an IH No. 6 Hammer Mill? The paint remaining (which is not much) on the one I have looks to be yellow or orange on the mill itself. The bagging cyclone looks to have been IH red.

Haas: I had a No.6 on my farm and on it the mill was IH red and the cyclone and bagger were clear galvanize material. In book 150 Years of IH, although photo is black and white, my judgement is same color scheme as mine was.

I guess they must have been different colors. The cyclone on mine is definitely painted and appears faded IH red. The mill looks like an equipment yellow. I think I'm gonna paint it all IH red.

Haas: The mill I had, I acquired with a farm I purchased in 1972, rather than from my home farm. At that point mill could have been 30 years old. I see in 150Years of IH they were produced from 1941 to 1958. The cyclone could have indeed been red when new. Once paint started coming off that galvanized metal, it wouldn't take long for all it to come off.

Somewhere in my travels over past 30-40 years I also have seen one of those mills painted yellow.
