I have a chance to purchase a Burch brand name planter from a nieghbor. My dad can remember when it was bought new but cannot remember which dealer. The older generation of the nieghbors family is gone and noone else knows anything about it. It is a 2 row, three point hookup, is painted blue and has very little wear. I would like to purchase this planter but I don't want a piece of equipment that has no parts availability. Anyone with info. please respond. Thank you.

Jerry; Burch was a company that made after-market farm equipment much like land-pride. It was sold as an alternative at dealerships around here. As far as I am conserned it was a fair product in it's time but as for parts... good luck. But if it is in good shape and cheap enough and it comes with everything you need seed plates and all I wouldnt be afraid of it. just check it out extra good.

Since it's been snowing here, I've had time to surf and I did a search for Burch. They are still in operation, but I don't know if they still make planters. I also found this dealership in my search, and they list themselves as a supplier of Burch planter parts.
Good luck.

Good work Tim I just got in from burning some brush and seen your post so I ran a search on google and found that burch is still In opperation
and it was a suprise to find out that even though there are no dealers around here carrying their products they are based out of indiana and they still make planters too.
