Iron age potato planter

I have purchased an old one row potato planter I believe its iron age as it has pickers and clutch like the two row iron age I used to own. It has steel wheels and a fertilizer hopper with two spouts for the one row.. I was wondering if anyone new the model number or a picture on the internet. I plan on pulling it behind my cub and plant about 1 acre of potatoes.

I've got one (actually two) that sounds like your's. Mine has a wood hopper with the original paint and lettering still on it. Mine also has the fertilizer attachment with a canvas conveyor. Many if not most of the parts for it are still available new. The Iron Age design was bought by several companies and modernized a bit, but most of it remains the same. McConnel still makes then on special order in New York State.

Mine has a steel fertilizer hopper and doesn't have a belt but spinning gizmos for the fertilizer. I am in hopes of finding a manual on ebay and maybe some other gears to change the spacing it does have two with it a 13 and a 18 I think

I have a single row Iron age horse drawn potato planter I am trying to find out value and info. It is all original with two seats ,the draw bar has been cut to be pulled by a tractor. patent dates are 1894-1895

I've got manual reprints for mine; I'll have to look around. McConnel bases their planters on the one-row Iron Age, but the smallest they usually make now is a four row, but they will throw together one row units on special order. Someone has a photo posted of a one-row from this forum at: Link
