I need some info on the Unicorn Log splitter made by the Thackery Co of Columbus, Oh. I recently aquired one in very good condition. The previous owner is deceased and no one knows anything about it. I can hook the pto portion up but the hitch pins lack a foot lining up with the hitch arms on my 8N Ford. Help!!!!! !!!!

If I remember correctly these brought the lift arms real close to the center line of the tractor and would prevent the use of the anti-sway bars if you have them, Others have mentioned the dangers of these units but I have seen them used with caution.
Good luck.

probibly in real good condition because it was never used only once. They look like a widowmaker to me. Rate right up there with the "hanyman" jack.

I have a BarkBuster, about the same thing, different company.

You'll be told how dangerous these things are, and people are correct. They can be real dangerous. Just so you know. :)

I can't really help you, don't know much about Unicorn other than I have heard of them. I believe all the pto companies/ models have gone out of business, I just found a wheel unit (jack up pickup, bolt on in place of a wheel) manufaturer on the internet last nite still selling them.
