My Bushog #12 seems to cut on the right side only sometimes. The grass is beat down some on the left when it does this. Do I need to adjust something?

Not sure if you have a single-spindle mower, but mine is, and much of the time, it will NOT pick up the grass crushed down by the tractor's Rt rear wheel. I just move to the left, so that the mower can cut that wheel-width on the next pass, and I always try to go clockwise around a land. Much of the time, if ya want to do a GOOD job with a bush hog, ya have to lap-over.. For general pasture mowing, I like my flail mower..NO over-lapping..!!

Make sure the blades are sharp. Mine started doing the same thing. Sharpened the blades. No more problem.

And be sure the cutter is at the proper cutting attitude. Most advice here is to have the front slightly lower than the rear, so the blade has to cut the grass only once. This will allow the blade to unload it's cuttings easier too. Is there sufficient room for discharge?
