Does any one here know if these machines can still be found? I have been looking for a rebuilbable one for awhile to no avail. Also I would like to find the a fall tractor show that has a corn chopping theme. Happy Thanksgiving all.

I've got a #6 JD forage harvester. Mine is the only one around these parts that I've ever seen, so I'm guessing they are pretty rare. The one I've got came from a old guy that bought it brand new and used it for years, cutting about 40 acres a year. I bought it from a guy who bought it after the old man died and had it parked in a shed for 10 years or so. I don't think mine has ever sat outside, the paint looks darn near like new...really amazing. I cut about 60 ton of corn silage with it last summer and it sure did a great job. I only have the row head, I'd sure like to find the pickup attachment for alfalfa, but I have doubts as to whether I'll ever find one. Good Luck with your search.
