Does anyone know of where I might find the power unit or parts such as the offset gearbox, etc,for a roto baler and an idea as to the cost of such a unit?

The same engine was used on the 60 & 66 combines, the gear box he is talking about is part of the clutch assembly and reverses the PTO operation as the PTO of an implement of any kind turns in the oposite direction of the engine of the tractor

The original service (operator) manual for a white top baler shows an engine installed from the factory with pictures and steps to install an engine on one bought without the engine

I do not know of any roto balers that had their own power unit to the best of my knowledge they were all PTO driven.

Roto-Balers had the same power unit available as factory equipment as the Model 60 combine, ensilage blower. Late 40s, into the 50s, many farmers did not have tractors big enough to pull the machine and power the pto. Same power unit used on many circus attractions, industrial units like pumps, etc.

I have a roto bailer, plus have an original owner"s manual for it. It hasn"t been used is years but is complete as far as I know.Do you need one?
