I would appreciate it if someone could recommend some sources for 14" disc blades for an IH No.37 Wheel Disc. The smallest I can find is 16".

Thanks K-Mo

That disk came with a choice of 16, 18 or 20 inch blades. I have a 37 with 16 inch blades and it does an alright job but nothing like my IH 480 with 20" blades. Yeah, the 480 is 16' and is about 2 or 3 times as heavy but the 16" blades just won't do as well as bigger blades. You would be better off just getting new 18 or 20" blades, then this disk would last a lifetime.

red-n-green,
Thanks for the info. I had found a second disc advertised which also had 14" blades and figured that was the original size. I remember dad's old straight disc from the early 50's had small blades and figured this one wasn't too far behind.
Thanks,
K-Mo

K-MO,My fast hitch disc was worn to 15" but a new set of 18" sure made it work better.

Wouldn't even bother with 16" blades, much less 14. Not worth the effort. Saw a #37 sell on Saturday for under $100, was in good shape with 2 bad tires & the blades wore down to 14"-16".

You could probably pick up wore out blades that small for nothing at the dealer or a friend. Worthless scrap.

That disk wouldn't be worth a tinkers damn with 14" blades. Even 16" will not be much good. Like Leroy said the disk needs 18"or 20" blades.

I agree on the 18 to 20 inch blades. I have a IH37 and replaced the front gangs with either 18s or 20s. Really can't recall without looking. If I remember right I think 20 inch blades were standard size?

I think I may have some wore out 14" blades, that disk should carry 18" blades and possibly 20" blades
