My Ford / New Holland dealers carries two qualities of bars the fit my 3000 - $15 a pair and $28 You get what you pay for.
They also have a special set for some 3000 that could take cat 1 or cat 2 hitch balls and those bars are around $35.

Charles,

I don't know if they are heavy-duty or not, but I use stablizer bars on my 1973 Ford 2000 that I buy at Tractor Supply Company. TSC is very popular around middle Tennessee. I have bent some of them at various times, but every time I bent one it was because of something I had done. I don't know if it's right or not, but I run stabilizers on both sides of the three point. It seems to work well.

Good luck,

Tom

I have a beginners qeustion. Since the leveling box seems to adjust the length of one of my 3 pt arms, how do you use a stabalizing bar that has a fixed distance between mounting holes on that side?

I've thought of trying stabalizing bars on both sides but didn't want to get the hardware only to findout it wouldn't work if I had to adjust (level) the attachment.

The stabilizers pivot on the same axis as your lift arm (the three point bar). It will swing up and down just like your lower arm so it doesn't matter if you use the leveling box or not. Just be sure your stabilizing bar is the correct length.
