Where are all the cotton pickin people? We hear about corn, bean and hay equipment but where are all you cotton pickers at? Maybe your busy making a living!

In April '99 my mom was going to Charlotte NC for a few days. My dad won't fly, so I went with her as she didn't want to fly alone. Upon arival I rented a car and started touring while she was doing her thing. Traveled through NC, SC, TN, and Mississippi where I stopped at a John Deere dealer about 30 minutes west of Tupelo. It was a saturday afternoon and the store was closed but in the back I met Randy, one of the mechanics, putting in some OT. I had never seen a cotton picker before and they had several new and used ones. Randy ended up spending 2hrs with me showing how they worked and how cotton plants are seeded etc and in turn he wanted to know what it's like farming in western Canada. I appreciated the time he spent with me as this was the highlite of my tour along with my visit to Graceland in Memphis. You Americans have a very beautiful country and I enjoy traveling the countryside everytime I visit y'all! MK
