IHC/McCormick Horse drawn sickle mower.

I have come upon a mower just like the one in the implement photos (1914 IHC)
This one looks in fairly good shape and has a cast tool box on it which is intact. There is a marking on the top of the axle which reads NEW 4.
The tool box has cast in it. McCormick Hamilton Ont. The sickle looks to be intact.
What do you think, worth hauling it out of the bush?

What you eventually do with it is up to you, but yes, it is definitely worth pulling out of the brush.

Any machine as old as that one is definetly worth saving, it may not be worth a lot of money, but would still have historic value.

Sorta dangerous piece of equipment for lawn orniment but if you have a team then it is just a bit slower than the typical tractor of its day. If you have steep ground to maintain it is better than a tractor job.In either case I doubt if it is worth what it would take to paint it.

If you mow with a team you don't have to listen to an engine, put dead dinosaur leftovers in the sky, & you will get some work out of your horses.
