477newholland haybine are they any good

i bought a 477 for next to nothing but i had to replace the bushing inside the sheave on the main gear box shaft. and had to have the gear box shaft also repaired.and also put new bearings inside the gear box i have $365 invested. it also needs new knives was this a good adventure or not

Rick I just sold mine good condition for $1700.00 this spring. 7' are bringing prem. prices because the small horse owners are trying to tackle baling hay and most of them have smaller HP tractors. If you have it in good working order it is worth every bit of that.

Here is south eastern PA 7 foot haybines bring a premium. I have seen the 477's sell for between 1500-2500. It is rare to see one for less.
