could someone list the White tractor model numbers in the 50-90 HP range. are parts available for these? is there any to look out for?

The 2-70 White is a 1655 Oliver both great tractors, just different in color and a little sheet metal. AGCO is the parts source.

I have a White 2-75 It is a 1988 (maybe 1987), it is built in Japan by Iseki and has an Isuzu motor in it. Front wheel assist. I like it real well. Nothing related to the other whites or Olivers. I can get filters etc from the nearby AGCO dealer - never had to buy a part.....

The ones I know that have decent parts availablity, at least around here, are the 2-70, the 2-85 and the 2-88. These tractors used the Oliver hydraul-shift; Farmersville Equipment is probably your best source for transmission parts in PA. The 2-70 has an engine common with an earlier Oliver. The 2-85 and 2-88 used Perkins diesels; the same engine was found in many MF tractors. There may be some newer Whites in that HP range that are OK, just that I don't know which ones. Neighbor has an Iseki-built 2-65 that he can still get parts for, but has to wait a long time for them.

Similar Oliver tractor models you may concider would be the 1555, 1655,1755's (and older 50 series) where are you in PA? Elder's in Stoneboro, PA was/is a White dealer for NorthWestern PA

I'm no expert on White, but have heard the older Olle 50 series is a bit better than the newere 55 series.

The 55 series are generally better than the 50 series, but what you may have heard is that in some models, I believe the 18xx, the older 50 series used the Perkins engine, and some preferred those engines to to the 310 Waukesha used in the 55 series. The Whites which replaced the next larger models up from the 1655 went back to Perkins engines.
