New Holland 377

I have a New Holland baler that produces bales that are loose on the in feed side. String tension is okay. Does anyone have any ideas how to remedy this?

Mike, is this a 277 baler? If so, that problem is slightly unusual. Most of the time, the string is tight on the feed in side and loose on the far side. However, if this indeed is the case, mess around with the forks that feed the hay into the chamber. Slide them back and forth to see if that helps. FORGET what the book tells you. I have never seen that work very well. If none of this helps, try removing the second set of forks and then see what happens. Steve

Thanks for your advice. It is definately a 377. I have tried shifting the forks, no difference. Will try taking out the second set of forks.
