i got a 477 haybine i got from a neighbor the gear box was already off of it because the bushing on the hub got worn out and started slipping on the main gear box shaft.well i got everything repaired and put back together. but i need to know how much play from side to side the overiding clutch should have. i think you adjust this by sliding the beltpulley one way or the other.

Rick, the overrunning clutch should have zero play side to side. However, if you are using a tractor with live pto, (and you probably are) please weld the 2 pieces together and eliminate the clutch. They cause more trouble than they are worth. However, if you are using an old tractor without live pto, do not weld together. Steve
