How do I find the model # on an old IHC 1 bottom trailer plow looks like a 16"? I would like to find a picture of the frame to see what, I am missing. I know there is spring from the RH lever to the frame that is is missing, but cannot tell if there are any other parts missing (especially near the hitch). Any parts available for these units?

could be a #8 little genius if they were made in single bottom. The #8 was common as dirt but no, you can't buy parts anymore.

Cowman: Of course you can buy parts for a No 8. His plow isn't a number 8 anyhow as it has no tail wheel.

Batty54: On the manual you will just have to watch online auctions. Often at antique shows there are sellers of books and manuals. I recently bought a manual for a No. 8 plow, here on YT auction.

As to parts for wheels, bearings, frame, etc. you will have to rely on scrapyards or bearing shops. With wear parts such as shares, moldboards, landsides, shins, coulters, etc. here in Canada TSC stores have those for most any plow. In one case I supplied them with the IH part number and their supplier made it for me. Not exactly sure but that supplier was out of either IL, IN or IA.

Thanks for all the info! I will try the TSC in New York they are about an hour and a half drive from me.
I'll keep looking for the manual.

I would almost bet money you have a model No.3 Little Wonder plow. Does it have a fixed tail wheel or no tail wheel at all?

If it has a tail wheel with a linkage running to lift mechanism on left front wheel, which causes tail wheel to lift rear of plow, then you have a Little Genius plow. I have never seen one, but some guys claim to have single bottom No.8 Little Genius plows.

There is no tail wheel and it is mounted on rubber, non spoked wheels. I am trying to get a close guess as to the year and try to find some parts the moldboard and share are good but would hate to break them without parts available. I would like to find a reprint of the parts manual and setup manual for this also not really sure how the hitch works ( maybe something missing there)

After looking at the photos and old posts found a picture of a similar model. It is listed as 1 bottom IH plow

I pasted the link below
