I am looking for a single rotor, 8 to 12 foot wide 3point or trailing rotary rake - prefer like a Duetz Fahr or maybe a Class, but open to other brands, they are basically brand new and used ones are nonexistent in my part of the country (southeast South Dakota), so where in the country might have used ones, or have some of u guys strolled across some in your equipment looking?

Rotary rakes are really getting popular in the Mid Atlantic area and many local dealers have used ones available. I think the American made brands such as Miller Pro and Pequea are built heavier than the imports. This spring Pequea ran a special on theirs with a new 11' for $4600? Edwin Horning and Sons in Ephrata PA 717-733-7408 has a new Pequea HR10 listed for$4200. I've got an HR10 bought used that I like. The tines are removable for storage or transport. You'll also want one with tandem wheels to follow the ground better.

In my part of the country (N.E.) the Kuhn rakes
are popular, but still second to the NH side delivery type. We have and use both.

I've seen several on dealers lots. Kuhn, Fella, & Duetz. ALL the Italians make them as well so you might be able to find a deal this time of the year where a farmer traded a rake in because he was broken down and the dealer was so busy he could not fix the rake as fast as the customer needed. I've seen good ones sell at auctions sell for $700-1000 but likely on a dealers lot they will sell for $2,000-$3,000. Happy hunting
