My neighbor has a Ford Series 102 plow. The component number is 10-445. He needs a part. Our local NH dealer has identified the part number as 200014. However, when the dealer called to order that part he was told it was no longer available, even though it shows as available on his computer. Now our only hope is that there is a NH dealer out there somewhere that has one of these on the shelf. Could each of you call your local New Holland dealer and ask? If you find one, please email me with the pertinent info (dealer, phone, price, etc). Thanks!

What is a ford 102 plow? I have a ford High clearance 3 bottom with trip back bottoms and cat#2 hitch with a lever on it and its blue missing 2 cutters I gave a $155.00 at a sale for it if you need it I will sell it for what I gave. if this will help you?

Your Ford dealer could do that a lot better than we could. Most of us are out harvesting right now, kinda busy....

What part is it, maybe someone has one in the grove - that we could help you with. :)

When I go to my IH dealer he just clicks it in the computer and if there is one anywhere in the USA it shows up. How come your Ford guy can't do that?

I found a NH dealer willing to do a parts locator search on his computer....nothing! Only hope is that it's on some long-time Ford dealer's shelf and not entered in the NH system. In the meantime, I'm looking for used or having a machinest make a new one.

Jim,

Stopped in at my local dealer this evening, & give him your post (printed)....numbers all matched to a part he identified as a 'clevis' - takes 2 per implement..... .....

His NH program wouldn't even get that far, but an 'older' parts list program he had for Ford parts ID'd it..... (showed the plow in a black & white photo hooked to what he said was probably a 600 series)

Said the closest he would be able to get to the part, was that he knew where there was a (the only one he knew of in this part of the country) series 101 setting on a fence row -- but it, or any part of -- was not for sale.... (I just assumed the part was common between the two series, as I know nothing about them)

Said in his opinion, best chance of finding it would be either in your area or up in the NE part of the country at an 'old' & 'large' dealership....but probably the easiest thing to do, would be to take the 'other one' off (assuming it was still intacked)& carry it to a good machine shop with a pocket full of money..... .a far cry from the $38 & some change that his program showed for price!!)

Yeah, we discussed the machine shop option and figured that for one piece it would be a lot of money. Now if this were a popular plow and people all over were looking for this part it might be worth it to have the machinest crank out 10 of them (to get the per unit cost down) then sell the excess here or on ebay. But, it appears that his is the only Ford 102 plow that has ever broken this part! May be the only Ford 102 plow still in service for all I know. He has a friend who's pretty handy at "making" things. He's gonna try that. If the project starts getting too costly he may just go to the used farm stuff auction next month and see what kind of plows are available.

So, this is a clevis of some kind???? Still curious what the part is, you never did say other than a cryptic part number. how critical are the demsions & such, if it's not a cast part then fabricating or swapping in 'something close' from a different plow or machine is very possible. But, don't know what it is you are looking for?

Oops, hit the 'post' before I was ready.... Meant to add, lots of plows were made by other companies, was this thing made by Ford, or was it just relabeled? You can find parts from other companies sometimes. I'm just not familar with Ford tillage, sorry.

My parts man referred to it as one of the old 'Dearborn' plows. Another assumption on my part, that 'Dearborn' was the manufactorer??

Pittsburgh made some of them, but that probably won't be of much help. There's an old Ford dealer in Halifax, PA. Sweigard Bros (?) I think that has a lot of NOS parts not in the computer. Do a dealer search at the New Holland website, as they are still in business.

Same thing, only different.....

'Ford' is sort of "mingled in with" New Holland, now days..... lots of 'Ford' parts still out there, but as they are no longer 'manufactored' & 'packaged' as such, & lots of 'old' "Ford" dealerships - now 'generally referred to as New Holland' have not entered 'their - on the shelf' "Ford" inventory into the New Holland computer network, lots of 'Ford' parts are 'unavailable' through the New Holland 'network', but are readily available if you can find the Ford dealer or New Holland warehouse that has it on the shelf & just hasn't listed it in the 'New Holland' system (yet)- as it is "Ford" & not "New Holland".....

sort of a 'gap' in modern technology -- (due to some dealerships/warehouse 'managers' just not being interested in service to those individuals that happen to have an implement or a piece of equipment that is not new or is at least, not old enough to have parts renumbered &/or cross-referenced to another brand/name that parts are interchangeable with due to being the 'same mold - just different paint'.....

Jim, will check with my local partsman & let ya know 'if'.

Same thing happens with AGCO parts. My A-C dealer in Pennsylvania has been selling A-C since 1950 and he has a lot of NOS A-C parts on his shelves that were never entered into the computer, so AGCO shows it as discontinued, but he may have one anyway.
