Does anyone know of a implement that I can pull behind my Ford NAA 3-point hook up that is able to trench a 4 foot deep trench to install waterline below the frost level. Any ideas even if I need to build it myself. Any way to trench with a rear blade?

Anything you can hang behind a NAA and go four feet deep will need mucho cabelleros in front of it to drag the whole thing through the ground. Plus the NAA will get stretched beyond design limits. I think you need to bite the bullet on this one and hire a trencher!.

Here in Minnesota I need 6' deep. Just not practical with anything but a chain trencher of some serious design, or a backhoe.

For the chain trencher, you need a _really_ slow gear - like a hydro tranny.

Kinda leaves us out. But I'd like to see someone prove us wrong. :)

4' is a lot of earth. I can use a single shank subsoiler and get it down pipe down 2'. Takes about 60hp at that. For inspected lines (40" here) I just rent a trencher. Runs about $200 a day; can dig 2000' easy in good digging.
