Anyone know the correct size and ply for each side of the JD 14T baler?

Also, has anyone ever retrofitted this baler with floatation tires? Or would one simply use dual tires?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Original tires were 15" x 6.70 6 ply and 15" x 5.00 4 ply. There was an optional dual wheel for the flywheel side and also a pickup gauge wheel. HTH.

Thanks for the reply! One of my tires appears to be original on my pick-up side of my 14T. It is a BF Goodrich and is 5.00-15 x 4 ply. The flywheel side is an old 15" truck tire.

I looked a bit ago at a JD 24T baler and it had a 6.70-15 x 6 ply tire on the flywheel side and a 5.00-15SL x 4 ply on the pick-up side. Not sure what the SL means.

I may consider a gage wheel for my baler as the field I have to bale has some slight lumpy-ness.

Thanks!
Bill

SL - slow leak (just kidding!) I'm not familiar with that code but it might refer to an implement tire - they have a low speed rating.

I just used car tires as impliment tires were too expensive for what little baling I do. Mine is sitting at home and I can let you now later what size they are. I went ovesized to help out a little.
