Depending on how much your going to be doing, you can go to tractor supply and get a brand new one for around $350.00(less the auger, which will run it up another $100.00 or so). Thats the route I'm planning on going unless I run across one used for a song.

Tony I agree with Fred,I saw a good one sell for 1600.00 with two augers and two extensions,I bought mine for 35.00 with two augers.It all depends how many Saturdays you want to spend at farm sales. LOL kjm

My experience is the best one is a Danuser. Based on the ads I have seen, one will cost $1,200-1,500 at a dealer. I have been to a number of auctions in KS and MO this year and a Danuser will generally bring $600-1,000. Lesser brands will cost about half that amount. Prices, of course, depend on condition of the digger.
