Hey Yall,
Got a 1380 hydroswing that is having major surgery on the wobble box. Anyone ever replaced any parts in one??? I took it apart earlier and thought I had it fixed but now the wobble shaft is snapped off and the back cover is cracked.
Will call Ma Deere in the morning to order parts but just wanted to know if anyone else has had any dealings with them. Looks like my parts total is going to be up around 1100.00 which is better than 1428.00 for a whole new box, then I would have to have the pulley and belt as well on top of the 1428.00. My total for the 1100.00 is including the pulley and belt. So will be saving approx. 600.00 on the repair.

Deere learned they could not be rebuilt as someone was always trying to reuse a worn part and it would fail again. Watch the knife head bushing/bearing and pin. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO BECOME WORN. Any looseness just hammers out the box!. Also replace worn guards and sections. Places tremendous loads on the box. If ledger area of guards are not sharp replace or possible sharpen once with a grinder.

Thanks for the info. I did tear down the box today and found the outer end of the wobble shaft snapped off just at the large nut on the bearings. The stress of it cracked the back cover as well. Going to order a new yoke, cover, bearings, seals, knife arm, belt and pulley tommorrow. Main case of the box should be fine as it shows no sign of cracks. I am assuming that this is the box that came on this cutter and if so I hope I get that many years service out of it after redone.
