Howse 500 rotary cutter

Bought a Howse 500 rotary cutter at an auction on Saturday, the top of the table had indentations of things getting caught between the blades and the top. The gear box seems to check out ok. Upon unloading the unit with a front end loader, I was able to get a look under it. The blades are totally dull with one having about 4 inches missing. The pan is also bent out of shape. After seeing this I would say the unit was abused. Any way, I believe that I have to replace the pan, blades and weld on the top deck. Any one have any of the above parts for sale please let me know.

i got my stuff from HOWSE and they were great to deal with there phone no. is 1-601-428-0841. i got blades for mine and were only 15.97 each

I, too, found Howse easy to deal with and responsive. My mower was one of the first they made, and they took the time to dig out specs and find the right part (the pan). I happened to get my blades at Tractor Supply, but if you're getting several parts at the same time then the difference in shipping probably isn't worth the trouble to search out matching 3d party blades.

I have 10 ft Howse. what you are calling the pan...what the blades bolt onto?...a good blacksmith shop can straighten that out for you, no need to buy new ---broken blades will have to be replaced---forget Howse manufacturing website...I found them slow and hard to communicate with---call Clark McKenzie at 601-876-3092 in Tylertown Mississippi for parts. He will get you what you need. as to chinks in the top ~ you can weld if you want to but unless they are very large its not neccessary. Stay away from sprouts over 1 inch in diameter and raise your implement to where you have plenty of ground clearance. don't attempt the golf course look...its too hard on the machine.
