If you want it to stop, have my wife come visit. She was known as the drought lady in western Washington. It won't do to have her take up residence though, we're 11 inches above normal this year. :-(

My next door neighbor is like that. He got 5 cuttings of alfalfa, rolled the first one wet and was too stingy to wrap it (it molded), got 2 wet twice in the windrow, 3 he broke down and I baled it for him (and it got wet on the ground in the bale, 4 got wet in the windrow, and 5 got wet in the square bale on the ground. I try to never cut when he does (I did match him on # 3 but I got mine in).

We have a guy around here that is the best weather forcaster around. Every time he mows hay it rains!! We acually kept track of him this year while doing our hay. End result is we have nice good hay in our barn and he will be buying it off of us to feed his animals this winter:)

You aren't talking about me are you? Seems EVERY time the NH 489 comes out of the barn it rains..... ....I moved it up the road to a shed last week and it has been raining ever since ;-P

Naw....not you. A friend of mine has about 50 acers just down the road from our farm that he bales for his own use (he raises bison) and I don't think he made a stitch of rain free hay this year. Lost quite a bit of it acually. He has already asked about our hay and how much we wanted:)How's the corn looking over there?? Darn good crop over here. I think the price will be low this year. How's that GREEN thing running???

Corn looks good....So far(Alot could change that quick!)..... ....Most will of it will go in the crib anyhow :-) The green "Thing-a-majig" is still running, already have offers from guys who want to buy it(What are they thinking?)
