Boy now that it is getting cold and just at the last of any haying. My phone seems to ring every day wanting some haying done. AT the last minute of course. Funny how that works.
Just so happens my real job just decided to get busy. Keeping me there till dark. Man that just nabs my nads.

Here in MD were about done. Getting too cool, and it's not looking good for 10 or so straight days of sun. I've still got 10 acres of my own 3rd cutting I want to get in, never mind the 50or so the neighbor's want done, but I don't think the weather's gonna cooperate. Course it's been that way all summer, anyhow.

I know how you feel kelly. I took my baler to help my neighbor (about 15 miles away) bale up a few bales of drouthed corn, rolled up about 75 bales. Then since I was in the neighborhood another guy wanted 40 acres of cane baled, then another 40 acres grass swathed and baled and back to the first man to swath 40 acres of cane and another guy called and had another 50 acre corn field and before I got that done his landlord wanted me to do his cane. And all the while my other neighbor needed me to get back home and cut Alfalfa. I go to bale in the morning. But the good news is as of this afternoon there is a set of new Firestone Radials on the Hydro and New fronts are in town waiting. Just think, new paws all around!

Oh, I am sorry, Not a stupid question at all. It is local jargon for forage sorghum. In the old days they called it "bundle feed" because it was planted in rows and harvested with a corn binder. Now we plant with a drill and cut and bale like hay. Most of what I cut was 4 to 8 foot tall.
