Thresing machine ID

I have found an abandoned threshing machine in a overgrown plot behind my new home. Labels are faded, but we believe mfr. might be Nichols & Sons (?) of Battle Creek, Mich. Patent dates still visible, latest one 1915. Rubber tires on steel-spoke wheels. Galvanized body panels largely still intact, some shafts still turn! Any one out there know who built this & how to further ID the unit? I am located in Stanwood, Wash.

Nichols & Shepard were in Battle Creek. They became part of Oliver in 1929. I think their threshers were called Red River Specials.

Yep sounds the old Nichols & Shepphard Red River Special all right. I saw two stout men try to plug one feedig it alfalfa seed when I was a kid.
Had a JD-G barking full on the governor when they played out. I think my dad said is was a 48" machine? Could be worthe somethin if it's all there especially the chute and feeder.
