I gather that a lot of older implements, like a baler and older tractor (front end) used bias plied tires that were 6.00 x 15 and 6.00 x 16, etc. What are you folks replacing these with? Anyone using metric sized radials?

Again, just courious, thanks in advance,
Bill

Yep, we use up our old radials on the plows, mowers and wagons. They can take more abuse in the heavy stubble and brush it seems like.

A lot of old car & truck tires get used, put a tube in & good to go.

For a tractor in dirt a new tri-rib would be better, if you have the $45.

Having trouble keeping tires on a brush hog it was recommended I go to a shop about 30 miles from here that has used aircraft tires. I was told these are 14??16?? ply tires and would never have to worry about a flat again. Had planned on looking into this for next season when I was in the area. Currious if anyone had heard the same? Dan
