NH 488 Haybine problem

I don't know what to call them, but....
The two supports that attach on the back-side of the cutter bar area with a pin about 6" and attach to brackets that are welded onto the "trunion" or "pipe journal" as I have heard it called with a bolt that I would guess to be about " or 1" by about 5".

These are about 2' long and are like a "channel" (open end up for some reason I don't understand) for the part nearest the cutterbar and then are closed in for the other part.

Does that description identify the part in question??

I have to get them off for repair, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the pressure off them so that I can remove the bolt & pin. I've tried everything that I can imagine. there must be something I am missing. Please help!

Release the pressure on the flotation springs. Probably best to remove the lead screws completely from the spring blocks. Support the header securely unless you can remove the push links with the header on the ground.
