Any of you ever weld or bolt a set of air lifts on bush hog blades? Snapper, and I'm sure other manufactures offer a set of air lifts or "wings" to be bolted on the outside edges of their lawn mower blades in order to throw the debris out a great deal futher than normally happens. It of course takes more gas/horsepower but does clear the mower discharge more and really works well for wet grass if you must mow then. I'm wondering if it might work on a rear discharged Massey rotary cutter. This seasons' thick grasses due to plenty of rain tends stay inside the mower and choke up matters. Seems to me that wings might move things thru the system faster.

I would be very leery of bolting anything on to a rotary cutter blade. If the manufacturer of your mower makes a special blade for that purpose by all means use it. But don't ever put anything on a piece of high speed rotating machinery that it wasn't designed have on it. It could have lethal consequences.

I have a post below, inquiring about a Woods mower. I have found a list of "options" for it, that list's "suction" blades for it. They should be available from Woods, through dealers handling their parts. I will check on them, when I go to see about the parts I need, and post what I find.
