I have recently taken a rotary mower made by L & S
Mfg Co in trade and need information, such as a manual, and a source for parts. I have heard that the manufacturer, which used to be Lady & Son, is located in Tennessee but I don't have an address, phone number or web page link to reach them.
Right now I need some 1/2" x 3" shear bolts but eventually I'd like to change to a slip clutch with over-riding capabiliy. Anybody out there have experience with such an animal? Thx

I have owned an L & S mower like that. Go buy the "shear" bolts at TSC. They are just grade 2 bolts.
My owner's manual was one or two pages and pretty much said "mow".
I heard that the woman from L & S married a guy who also made mowers and farm equip in Tenn. and now they mfg under one or the other name. Do a Tenn.search and take a guess..
The larger mower attaching bolts were hard to find so I re-threaded mine. This is an entry-level-but very capable- machine and in my opinion I would trade up rather than add $$ to a slip cluth arrngement. It's hard to get the $$ back out. If you want to, I believe It's just universal PTO/driveshaft stuff you can get anywhere.
