Anyone know of a source for 3 pt snow blowers in the 5 or 6 foot size [used preferably, but new would be OK]. Resonably priced, I'm not looking for a top dollar rig! I'm looking to mount one on a Ford 861.

Any help / suggestions is appreciated.

We have an Allied. It works pretty good and was priced decent. Call up some imp. dealers that also carry short line equip. (AGCO dealers tend to carry quite a few short line equip. also) and ask if they carry blowers.

If your are having a hard time in sticky snow, try spraying the back of the thrower with cheap spray on veg. oil.(works on all blowers)

Most machinery dealers stock or could order one 'here', but you didn't say where you are located at? As I'm in farm country, 8' is more commonly stocked, but all sizes & makes are available from maybe 15 dealers within 20 miles of me.

I got a SnowMachine 10 years ago, 7', is a little too small for my 85 hp tractor (but it has a cab!), about right for my Ford 960, and the NH 1720 pulled it fine last winter with the slower gears.

I'm in Central Indiana. I'm basically looking for a lower cost snowblower. I do not need a top of the line model. I have a 1500ft driveway & a few nieghbors that I help out.

Any suggestions for manufactures and/or dealers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Take a drive, stop in at all the dealers near you. Should get all kinds of literature on all sorts of new one's. See what designs you like - many different ways to spin the spout, both hyd & hand. Also I prefere an open style of cross auger, some use solid, some use paddles. See what you like. Find out what's sitting on the lot used - altho arounfd this part of Minnesota, there are very few used at a dealer - most either get used up or stay with the farm - don't get traded in to a dealer.

You'd have to find a used-only dealer, or go to auction sales. And again, you are looking for a smaller size, which are more rare, but with the rise in CUT tractors the demad is high - won't find as many used of that size. You might have to settle for new.
