I am in the process of looking for a small baler. My budget is low and I only will be doing about 700 small square bales per year. I'm in NJ (near PA) and it's getting real hard to find someone to bale the hay anymore - so I'm going to do it myself.
I saw a IH 37 baler at a dealer today for $1450 in excellent shape with a thrower.
What do you think?

Maybe new they were okay, but when the knotters get old they miss a lot. And it probably has a #10 thrower (six rollers pull the bale out the chute), those things are a major pain, they rip the bales apart and get the hay wrapped around themselves.

For that price you could get a lot better baler; John Deere or New Holland are better brands.
