Backhoe hydraulics

I have a Ford 1700 with a 770 loader. I purchased a used 758A backhoe that sat unused for 5 years. When hooked to my tractor nothing moves including the front end loader. All returns to normal when I unhook the backhoe QD.
Confusing that when I reversed lines on the backhoe, slight movement was detected. Any ideas on how I should proceed?

So, how does the backhoe hook up to the hydraulics on your tractor? Are you using the loader ports, a rear quick-couple, or threading into some ports (& which ones) on the tractor?

There are many different setups on this, need to know where you are, to know where you should go.
