Well everything was going real good until one of the tine bars cracked, right where a bolt hole is. This bar has been welded in another spot already. Should I just get it welded and hope it lasts, or where can I find a used bar?

I was talking to my wrecker guy today and I mentioned a NH 55 rake. He has one but won't "break it" as it's worth more to him as a complete unit. There's still demand for used rakes, epecially when you look at the price of a new one. Like another post said, you can likely get a welding shop to repair it. It may end up stronger than the original if it's done right. A shop could probably fabricate one from new material cheaper than a new one with red/yellow paint on it. Good luck with it.

I'd see if you could support it with some pipe or a half pipe until winter. Plan on replacing the bar with a new one, metal fatigue takes it's toll on these parts. If teeth get bent and strike the frame (which they always do) it begins to cause stress to the metal.

can you slide a slightly smaller pipe inside the bar and bolt that there ?
