Towner 2120 Offset Disc Harrow

There is one of these in a field nearby which the owner is asking $375 for. It seems to be all there, doesn't appear to ever have had the scraper attachments, but is thouroughly rusted over. First, whats a good (realistic) price for one of these? Second, it looks to be pretty heavy. Will my Ferguson TO-20 pull it? Will I need front wheel weights? Third, anybody had any experience with these? I'm thinking it would let me disk up along the edge of my duck pond so I can plant some millet, without running the tractor rear right wheel in the mud.

Had a Towner disc, don't know the model no., your number doesen't give me the information I need to help you. Is it a drag type, wheel carried or a 3 point hitch and how many blades and how wide a blade spacing and blade diameter. Mine was a drag type with hydrolic cylinder angle adjustment, 9 blade per gang, aproximatly 8-9', pulled J. D. KBA 6 on a side, 7 1/2', drag disc behind with a cultipacker behind that with a model A John Deere in corn stalks

This disc is the lift type 5' 3" wide cut with (14) 20" discs. According to something I read (but can't remember where) it weighs about 800 pounds. It was sold by Ferguson too, but I don't know about the labelling as to whether it had a Ferguson nameplate on it. I think that Dearborn was also trying to buy and sell these in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
