Well since I am having trouble maounting a disc mower to me fast hitch with 3 point arm inserts, I am contmplating replacing the whole fast hitch with a three point hitch. Where can you buy a 3 point hitch new at for a Farmall 544? Any idea on the cost and how much trouble is it to swap these hitches?

Thanx

I have a 340 with quick hitch. I found the conversions that are offered now days are just arms that have to be put on the imlpement then slid in to the quick hitch. They are a 2 person job to use. I instead found a used conversion kit from a company called speedy that is one piece and is slid into the quick hitch. The bottom point have latches and the top point is attached by a pin. I think that it is easier than a conventional 3 point is to hook up implements. I know where there are 2 for sale I think around 300-400 dollars in michigan.

Is the trouble that it doesn't lift high enough, or that you have the side-sway you mentioned?

It sure would be a _lot_ cheaper to pin down the side-sway thing than to replace the 3-point. They go for $600 around here used.

Are there no open holes or brackets where the side-sway can be taken out?
