On my loader when the bucket is lifted and sits for a short time the bucket gradually lowers down until it sits on the ground. I think the fluid is bypasing inside the valve. I took the raise -lower section apart and pulled the( I think it is called the spool) out. Should there not be O rings mounted on that piece, on mine there are none.

On that I do not think there is any o rings in there, just that tight of tolerance, 1-2,000 inch clearance, would guess that you have 2 way cylinders on the loader and the oil will seap past the seals in the cylinder and go from one side to the other internaly and will cause what you are having with no external leaks, on heavy lifting will act the same and cause lack of lifting pressure, now if you have single acting cylinders then the oil you would se as a leak at the cylinders if it was there so if it is not so it then would be in the valve and the internals are so tight fitting they are only sold as matched sets

Did you think to look in the hole where the spool came out? The o-rings may be mounted in a groove in the casting. Just a thought.
