I have a MF 10 baler and have found that very few people have had success with them. My knotters are very tempermental, and I recently broke a stripper arm spring due to carelesness. I have ordered a new one, does any one have any idea how to get those damn things on without breaking them? Also, the left knotter frequently misses. The knot is slipping off the Knotter Hook but getting fouled in something as the bale is pushed out. Anybody have any ideas?

Thank You!

Alex, we use an M F 10 and it has worked well for us over the last 4 years. I found that if the twine hangs onto the hook too long we are too tight with the bale. I always use new 9000 sisal twine every season and we get along well. I keep my ground speed down and the baler seems to work well, if we try to move along faster we always miss a bale or break the drive chain on the pick up..I can bale patiently and get along fine , the boys go out and try to make up time and end up mnessing up bales..I have a manual in the baler and it was there when we bought it, I need to bring it home and try to read it...anyway ,good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

Alex, I own a few mf 10 balers. They are very good balers if they are kept in time. They will still bale even if they are partly out of time. Buy a manual and check the timing. Make sure the main drive chain is new as worn chain will stretch and give trouble. make sure the chamber stop is adjusted correct.Email me if you still have troubles Bill

we have had a 3 and 10 and both were very good balers IF they are in TIME and just like any thing else if they are not working there is a reason. we baled all kinds of hay and even canary grass and that is hard on a baler after that we bought a 14t john JUNK [new] had it 1 year and got a MF 124 that we still got
