Darren: I may be a bit biased here, but not much of a fan of rototillers. The soil is much too fragile for that type of equipment. If it were viable you would see 10 to 20 foot models on large tractors for commercial agriculture, but that has never happened. In actual fact the industry has moved to even less tillage. I grow about a 1/2 acre of garden, and this year for the first time I've used what I'm calling no-till in that I have done no tillage this spring and summer. I use several plots for garden. Next years garden is currently in buckwheat and will be plowed down in Sept. I will till it weekly for 3-4 weeks. I will then row or hill it very slightly making rows only 3-4" high. During fall I let every thing grow, weeds, grass, etc. Here the winter frost will kill all. I see by your TN address you may need a little assist from mother ROUNDUP. In the spring I disturb the soils little as possible and plant right on the row I made in fall. By not disturbing soil, I do not bring up any new weed seeds. All the weed seeds that had been within germination of surface will have germinated in fall, and have been killed by mother nature, or mother ROUNDUP. I have numerous pieces of equipment, I have for the most part fabricated for use in this system. I do have a Super A mold board plow, 2x12. I will tell you that with the combination of the buckwheat plus my no-till, I am doing about 10% of the hand weeding I did 10 years ago. I do have some quite good photos of these items. If you drop me an e mail I can send you some. Any questions you have just ask. Hugh
