dose any one know if hi-co brush hog is still around they were made in LAUREL MISS. need a blade if i can find a set if not then i'll start looking for a differnt brand that will fit

I did not have any success with the Howse factory in Laurel. This guy 601-876-3092...Clark McKenzie in Tylertown Mississippi will get your parts much faster and fair price.

thanks HUCKLEBERRY i'll check out both. i did find the parts on the web site for HOWSE and price is only 23.10 per blade. but it looks like they as a co. are up for sale. if i can't get them i'll just make a set. will not be the first time just want to save some time if i can get them

well tom i sure can tell you have never worked in a machine shop when you make a comment like that. we have made dozens of blades for old brush hogs and never had a failure also have made blower paddles for silage blowers 1000 rpm. with all these co. going by the way side are you going to just junk a machine that needs repair?i'am a certified welder and i do have all the tools to do the job right. [60 press, milling machine, forage,] you name it i might have it and i KNOW how to use itthere is not many things i can't make [remember next time you buy parts it was made by the LOW bidder. put your trust in that

thanks i found the place on the web and a phone no and a place to order my parts on line. but it looks like they are trying to sell out because the co. is on a auction list. i will give them a call on monday. thanks again for the info. if any one wants it this is there phone no. 1-601-428-0841

HICO stands for Howze Implement Company. Took me days and lots of phone calls to track that down a couple of years back, but at that time they were still in business and I bought a stump jumper from 'em for my old bushhog. Nice folks to deal with, they hadn't made my model in a long time but helped me figure out which current part would fit.

I can't find the phone number right now, but I'll look for it tomorrow...hopefully either I've got it or somebody else will beat me to it.
