Wobble for NH 461 Haybine

I am trying to replace the wobble box and we're unable to get the old one off. I removed the 3 caps and the shaft/bearing on the bottom that the wobble rotates on but am unable to pull the 2 side-bearings off and that may be what is the hold-up. So no matter how we turn the box, we can't get it past the 2 bearings. I've never done this before so if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about and can help me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks,

Ok, so I'll take the whole thing off and get out my big hammer. I'll let you know how it works. And if I get stuck, I may be back sooner. Thanks guys.

Jason, ernie is correct. You do not need to remove the whole assembly from the machine, but it is easier. The wobble arm will not come off without removing the side taper roller bearings first. All bearings in the wobble box are very tight fit, or they should be. Sorry, but it will not just fall apart. This is definately the time for a bigger hammer. Steve

Jason;

I did this a couple of years ago and from what I remember you take the bracket that it mounts to off the swather and then you disassemble it on the workbench. It's a lot more comfortable and easier to do on the workbench than on the swather. Feel free to e-mail me if I can be of any help!

i have a NH 469 haybine and i gota take the wobble box off so i can weld up the arm that the bolt for the sickle bar goes thru, the thing was run with a loose bolt so the face is worn in, the bushing is also worn but that is replacable i just gota build up the face and machine it flat again
