A friend was driving behind me and tells me that my two wheel trailer is weaving 2 to 3 inches from left to right. Is this alignment or weight distributiom? Thanks

It is a most aggrivatin problem. My flat bed trailer weaved like a drunk on New Year's mornin' behind my 83 Suburban, but behind my F-250 Ford don't weave at all. Did not matter where the load was front, back or sideways. I heard of load placement making a difference, alignment etc. Can't explain why it pulls straight and steady behind the ford but not the Chevy.

Perhaps you have passenger (P) tires on the chebby and truck (LT) tires on the dorF? The stiffer sidewalls & higher air pressure sure helps prevent the initial motion and dampens it out better should it occur.

Check your trailer wheel bearings for being too loose. If weight gets a little too far back and bearings are loose you can be in for a interesting ride.

Dick,

I don't know what you have or what you were hauling but I would guess if it doesn't usually weave you had the load too far back.

My 2 bits worth,
