NH 270 timing

On my NH 270 there are timing marks to check the feeder fingers, and timing marks to check the knotters, but no marks to line up the crank. The sticker is partly worn off that tells the timing procedure and my manual is backordered at NH. Do I need to place the crank at 90 degrees (straight up) to the baler to check the timing? Thanks!
