Does anybody know if 4 or 5 ft pull-type rotary cutters are still made? It's the kind pulled with a drawbar, not a 3 pt hitch. I haven't been able to find a used one locally. Thanks!

King Kutter still makes a pull type. New price is a hundred dollars or so higher than the 3 point style. When I was a KK dealer, I sold about 4 of the 3 point kutters to 1 pull type. There is just not that much demand for the pull style, which is why you don't see as many used ones on the market. Also, finding a used kutter in decent shape is a big job in itself. Just the nature of how they are meant to be used assures that most will be pretty beat up by the time a guy wants to be rid of it.

Wouldn't it be pretty easy to convert a used 3 point brush hog to a pull type?

John Deere has the model 609 72" mower that can be ordered as a 3-pt. or pull-type. Perhaps its a little bigger than you're looking for, but you can check it out on the Deere website.

Thanks for the info! That's a good idea about converting a 3 pointer to a pull-type, too. I'll look into that idea, also. Jacques
