We are having trouble getting the baler to tie the bales (any size) if the hay is smaller fiber. We bale Johnson Grass and it ties fine. Generally the touble spot is on the left side where the second belt tracks. The needle moves the entire stroke and looks like it is putting string on in the very place that we have the problem. Also if the needle is moved to its far most left position most if not all the string is pulled off the bale and wadded up in the chamber between the bale and the side of the bale chamber, wherefore leaving no string on the left side of the bale. When we dump the bale the left side has very little string. From the middle to the right side the string is tied fine.

I have a good amount of experience with round balers of newer vintage. I have never come across this kind of problem.

All suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Remember this bale is a 1974 or 75 model baler. Call the shop in East TN and Billy Lee Carter will tell you how correct the problem. 423-282-6969
