Feed Mixer

Have any of you ever seen a feed mixer suitable for batches of between 300 and 500 pounds for mixing creep feed, show feed, et cetera? Don't need or want a grinder. A cement mixer is too small. Any suggestions appreciated.

If you are not the type that has to have everything done in five minutes and at the push of the button a large shallow box like they used to mix mortar in withe a hoe by hand should work for small amounts like you mentioned. I have seen large mortar mixers that should handle three our four hundred pounds at a time. If you do this on a fairly regular basis a small hopper from an old combine with some augers would be something to consider.

Used grinder/mixers are cheap.
We had a Gehl that you could disengage the hammer mill and just run it as a mixer.

Sounds like a small grinder/mixer would work for you. You can mix without the material going through the hammermill..... ..
