Ford 530 Knotting Problems

About every 15-20 bales one knotter (same one every time) will lose the string. The string ends up down by the needles with the end frayed. It also leaves a piece of twine about a foot long at the knotter.

Any ideas??

Another question (besides the ones Jerry asks) is, how old is the twine on that side? Has it been left in the twine box of the baler year round for a long time? If so, replace it with new twine.

Need to get a bit more information. Where is the twine hanging on the knotter, the twine disc, the billhook or somewhere else. Is it putting any twine around the bale on that bad bale or not. Does it look like the twine is breaking or being cut. How tight is the twine tension. Is this something that just started or has been doing it all year long. If will help us to diagnose the problem better if we have a detailed description.
