I have a disc similar to what you describe. It is a model KBA 10'. It was available with or with out the tramsport wheels. Bought mine from a neighbor a little over a year ago for $50 and he delivered it!! I have since added a coat of new paint and decals (available from K&K Tractor Parts). I have also found an orgional owners manual (on E-Bay), I think there might be one listed there now in fact. There were other models that had the gangs suspended by chains but I am only fimilar with this one.

KBA was the only model with the chains

That's funny, because I have in my hand my JD owner's manual for my FWA Disk and it has pictures of the chains that look just like the chains my disk in the barnyard has on it....

My owners manual shows it was available in the 13 ft. 10 inch, 17 ft 10 inch, and 20 ft 6 inch sizes with either 18 or 20 inch blades.

I have an FA or FLA, I forget which. I went to JD dealer last year and ordered a manual for it, they had it in 3 days. Mine has tandem wheels.
