I have a 5400 John Deere(2wheel drive)..My brush hog is a Sidewinder 6ft. Model H. Even with the mover set at it's highest level, it stops turning in heavy weeds/grass.... Am I doing something wrong?

I have a SW model 66 which uses a tire for a slip clutch, I am having to adjust it for the same reason. I will remove shims and recheck. I am told the SW is the Hog to have for heavy cutting.

If yours is equiped with a slip clutch, it probably needes adjusting. I am needing adjusment specs for slip clutch on a Sidewinder 215 batwing. So if anyone has a owners manual or know how to adjust slip clutch with single large nut in the center, I would appreciate information.

sounds like you need to tighten your slip clutch.
